Oh, the irony. It's with regret that due to the current snowfall and it's impact on driving conditions, the Greenland or Bust Simplifying the Roll classes due to be held here this weekend are cancelled, along with the evening presentation on the Greenland Games by Helen Wilson.
Please accept our apologies for the disappointment, but we don't feel it's appropriate to ask anyone to travel in these conditions.

Snow Daze....
And
so what should have been the start of spring for us and a busy weekend, bites the dust
(snow actually) and the long winter that started at the end of August
rolls on for another month. I've just cancelled our first demo weekend
of the year as the driving conditions coming into North Wales are very
poor.
I'm really hoping that this year is the reverse of last year. This time last year we were enjoying glorious sunshine and light winds, after 2 weeks of that it crapped out for the rest of the summer. I hope that winters last bite will lead us into a spectacular spring followed by a wonderful summer extending into a gentle autumn in mid-october. We really do need the weather to improve to try and boost things.

There's still a couple of spaces left for
Saturday afternoon & Sunday morning classes by Helen & Mark on Simplifying the Roll. Then Helen will be

Don't miss out.

Today I have mostly been a .....
....delivery driver.
Collecting boats from SKUK, & Plas Menai, gosh those Tritons are "big ole boys". They took some careful attachment to the trailer. There was also an Aleut II.
I think I'd want a trolley if I had to move them any distance. Fortunately I had a trailer and the everfaithful Peugeot 306.
So I delivered them to Chirk, followed by a used boat to Burton-on-Trent, another boat to Nottingham (is that like coals to newcastle??).
I'm now sitting making the most of the "free" wifi & indifferent coffee at a well known fast food chain in Sleaford before continuing to Attleborough for another luxurious night in the "Peugeot Suite" of the Bunns Bank Industrial Estate and collecting Sit-on-Top kayaks from British Manufacturer Tootega ahead of the Easter Rush, these beauties will be moving like hot cross buns come Good Friday.
As soon as they're loaded up it's time to hit the road and head over to Madison, UK distributors for Shimano, Giro, Saracen and much more to get the skinny on what's new for 2013.
After that it's north on the motorway, then off the end of the M56 onto my street (the A55) right at the end & I'm home, hopefully in time for "AWESOME NIGHT", where I spend some quality time with my kids, without being grumpy, because they're AWESOME!!
I love all my girls, Kerry, Amy & Eloise.
They're what I really go to work for.

If Carlsberg made Sea Kayak Trolleys....
then they'd probably look like this.
This is the finished prototype, which is going out for field testing immediately and should be in full production in time for the Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium at the start of May.
We'll be taking pre-orders through the Summit to Sea website.

This is the Sea 5 - UK Premiere to be held on Anglesey
We've got them in stock and available to order for delivery on 8th March. This is the Sea 5
Award winning film-maker (and local paddler), Justine Curgenven has agreed to hold the UK premiere of her newest release at our shop on Anglesey at 7pm on the evening of Saturday 30th March. She won't be showing the whole film, but some sections and talking about the hows, whys and wheres of making the new DVD. She has assured us that she won't go on for as long as John Willacy entertained us for telling us about his UK Circumnavigation.
Obviously, Justine will have the new DVD available to buy there on the night (as well as her extensive back catalogue).
Here's a sneak preview of the new release:
